Experience giant snook fishing and what "the calba are coming" can mean to you. Fish the jungle tropical rain forest for tackle busting guapote and many other species that are locally known as pan fish. Perhaps you might find a sawfish while you take our tour. Wahoo, sailfish, dolphin, marlin and tuna are located offshore from Silver King Lodge and are waiting to be caught from our NEW OFFSHORE BOAT.

January 1st - March 1st : 3 days of fishing - $1875

March 1st - June 10th : 3 days of fishing - $1995

September 1st - November 10th : 3 days of fishing - $2150

Extra Days Fishing with Overnight Stay - $325 to $350

Deposit Amount

$750 per person. Balance due 60 days prior to arrival date.

Not Included

• International airfare, meals in San Jose, airport departure tax and gratuities. All rates are per-person, double occupancy unless noted otherwise. Passport: For entry into Costa Rica, U.S. citizens must present valid passports that will not expire for at least six months after arrival, and a roundtrip/outbound ticket

Season

Silver King Lodge is located in "Barra del Colorado" the second largest rainforest preserve in Central America. You will fly from your country of origin to San Jose, the capital of Costa Rica. Then take a short 30 minute flight to the lodge. SILVER KING LODGE IS THE HOME FOR "TARPON ON THE FLY" Clifford Ramos "The Fly Fishing Guide of The Year in 1996" would be happy to be your guide while at Silver King Lodge. In the months of December and January the "calba" or fat snook migrate up the rivers to spawn. These snook can be caught in great numbers - 20 to ? - in just a few hours. They are not as big as normal snook ranging in weight from 6 to 10 pounds but fight just as hard. Tackle is medium light with 8 to 12 pound test line preferred. Some guests use ultra light spinning tackle but it should be remembered that tarpon lurk in the same waters with the snook and many giant snook turn out to be tarpon over 100 pounds.
