Season

June to September. Bristol Bay, the Katmai, Iliamna, all have special meaning to anglers around the world. This is southwest Alaska, famous for the rivers and streams that are home to huge rainbow trout, arctic char, grayling and many other species of freshwater game fish that surround our lodge. Bristol Bay is also home to the largest natural salmon migration in the world. Each year millions of sockeye salmon join strong runs of four other Pacific Ocean salmon species in their incredible return to spawning rivers and streams. This means our guests catch unbelievable numbers of 8-12 lb. Sockeye salmon, huge silver salmon on the fly and giant king salmon tipping the scale at up to 50 lbs.
